Not Everyone is a Fit for Glencoco
And that's OK! Below, we outline and explain what types of characteristics make people good fits to be users of Glencoco, and what types of characteristics make people not amazing fits to be users of Glencoco, and eligibility requirements.
First, let's talk about eligibility:
Eligibility Requirements
When you complete creating a user account with Glencoco, you sign a 1099 contract as part of your user account creation process. 1099 contracts are legal employment contracts in the United States, which are typically used for independent contractors and freelancers. For example, Uber drivers are 1099 contractors.
The link above explains the differences between 1099 contracts and full-time W-2 employees, but high level, 1099 contractors:
Are assumed to be responsible for filing taxes associated with earnings through their 1099 contract work (we will send you all the paperwork and data of your earnings)
Are not necessarily entitled to benefits like healthcare
Are assumed to be subject matter experts for the tasks they are performing
Are able to provide their own equipment required for the job (in this case, you need a working desktop or laptop device to be able to log into our app. Currently, we don't support native mobile apps).
Our 1099 contracts are very flexible, in that you can set your own hours, can come and go as you please (although if you're not spending any meaningful time on our platform, you won't make any money).
